Mindfulness Meditation Techniques
Meditation can be used to lower stress and helps many of those who practice it live more peaceful lives.
There are many types of meditation and just as many different ways to practice it.
What Meditation is:
What Meditation is:
- Meditation is an ancient practice. It's primary purpose is to quiet your mind.
- Meditation can used to bring you into full awareness of the present moment, or help you clear your mind of all thought.
- Though it dosen't need to be, Meditation can be part of a spiritual or religious practice.
- Mediating is above all, a very personal experience. Beginners may find it helpful to have a guide early on, but it should be for only a short time.
Why I Meditatate:
What Meditation is to me.
What Meditation is to me.
- I know that meditation, especially when when practiced throughout each day, is the best way for me to manage my emotions.
- If I become angry or frustrated, I can rely on meditation to bring me back to my stable self.
- I meditate every morning for between twenty minutes and one hour using one of the methods listed below.
- I often use meditation to begin, or as part of, a prayer.
- Meditation and Sprituality are a solid foundation for my Reiki Healing Practice
My preferred types of Morning and Evening Meditation:
May God always be at the center of my thoughts, my words, and actions.
"I am still far from being what I want to be, but with God's help I shall succeed." Vincent Van Gogh

“We search for happiness everywhere, but we are like Tolstoy's fabled beggar who spent his life sitting on a pot of gold under him the whole time. Your treasure--your perfection--is within you already. But to claim it, you must leave the commotion of the mind and abandon the desires of the ego and enter into the silence of the heart.”
