WELLNESS IS THE COMPLETE INTEGRATION OF BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT ....

Everything that we think, feel, believe and do plays an important role in our state of well-being.

Meditation

Please read: Meditation is not a substitute for medical treatment or medications. If you suffer from depression, physiological or psychological imbalances, and especially if your find yourself having suicidal thoughts it is important that you seek support from a medical professional.

Meditation is proven to lower stress and help those who practice it live more peaceful lives.
What Meditation is not:
  • Meditation is not meant to help you escape from reality. It's purpose is to help you become more resilient so that you can better face life's challenges.
  • It doesn't require a lot of time and is not time specific in any way.
  • It's not based on any religion and does not require any sort of spiritual connection. It's for everyone, not just monks or holy men.
  • "It's not one size fits all" There are many types of meditation. The key is find what works best for you and your lifestyle.
  •  There are no hard rules. You can personalize the type you practice so that it works for you. You can soak in and appreciate all that is around you or find yourself in the state of "no mind". Both are within reach and both are beneficial.
There are many types of meditation and just as many different ways to practice it.
What Meditation is:
  • Meditation is an ancient practice. It's primary purpose is to quiet your mind.
  • Meditation can used to  bring you into full awareness of the present moment, or help you clear your mind of all thought.
  • Though it dosen't need to be, Meditation can be part of a spiritual or religious practice.
  • Mediating is above all, a very personal experience. Beginners may find it helpful to have a guide early on, but it should be for only a short time.
Why I Meditatate:
What Meditation is to me.
  • I know that  meditation, especially when when practiced throughout each day, is the best way for me to manage my emotions.
  • If I become angry or frustrated, I can rely on meditation to bring me back to my stable self.
  • I meditate every morning for between  twenty minutes and one hour using one of the methods listed below.
  • I often use meditation to begin, or as part of, a prayer.
  • Meditation and Sprituality are a solid foundation for my Reiki Healing Practice
My preferred types of Morning and Evening Meditation:
  • Zen Meditation
  • Spiritual Meditation
  • Loving Kindness Meditation
  • Mindfulness Meditation.

May God always be at the center of my thoughts, my words, and actions.

Guided meditations

“We search for happiness everywhere, but we are like Tolstoy's fabled beggar who spent his life sitting on a pot of gold under him the whole time. Your treasure--your perfection--is within you already. But to claim it, you must leave the commotion of the mind and abandon the desires of the ego and enter into the silence of the heart.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert
